Gifts that reach the heart of the matter

t e n d e r caramel was born from a desire to raise awareness and help people in a way that I can; through the medium of sugar and mindful creativity.

I’m Bethany. I started my career as a biochemist before turning to the world of food, training to be a chef and then chocolatier after graduating from Leith’s School of Food and Wine.

I’ve been making caramels and confectionery for years but after the arrival of my two small children and rediscovering how crucial good mental health and well-being is in the process, I wanted to start a project that truly was close to my heart.

My dream is to create a space where people can come together to spend time in the present; learning new skills and focusing on something outside of their daily struggles, working with their hands to produce something special that can touch another person’s heart.
